Change in plans

New countdown number: 14 days until we leave for Louisiana! The Burrells got a call from Mr. Burrells siblings in New York, saying that Mr. B's Mom was having problems. Her daughter had taken her to the doctor and they found that she has tumors in four or five different areas. So her daughter, Barb, took her back to Barb's house. The next morning Mr. B's Mom thought she was opening her bathroom door, but it ended up being the basement stairs. Barb and Jim called 911, and as they were following the ambulance to the hospital, called the Burrells. Last I heard she still hadn't regained consciousness, and didn't have any broken bones, but since they had a cancer doctor available they did some more tests and found another tumor in her lungs. Mr. Burrell is hoping that she will just die quickly from this rather than having to die slowly, or endure all the cancer treatments. I'm not sure if the Burrells are going to New York yet or not, but our trip has been postponed until January 7th.

Last night was supposed to be our Church's Christmas candlelight program, but the weather wasn't the greatest out so that got cancelled. The plan had been for everyone to come over here after the service, so we had been baking and preparing for the last three days. It was really disappointing, and we have a ton of food left over. Oh well. These things happen. Today we have our get together with Mom's side of the family, but that's not until later today, so we have a lot of time on our hands right now. The last week has been crazy busy, so I'm not complaining!

Hope y'all have a very merry Christmas!
