Anbody else struggling with les-dyxia?? (aka dyslexia)

Us poor fudge salesgirls have been getting our tongue in front of our eyeteeth lately. Makes it hard to see what we're saying =). I guess it was me that started it, but Katie, Dale's daughter, picked up on it rather quickly.

1. Me: "Would you like a frample of sludge??" The poor customers looked at me really funny, said "Umm. No thanks!" And made a mad dash for the door.
Translation: Would you like a free sample of fudge??

2. Customer: "What is in the Dutch Almond Butter??"
Katie: "That one has twice as much fudges as our other butters."
Translation: Dutch Almond Butter has twice as much butter as our other fudges.

3. Customer: "What is in the Gold Rush fudge??"
Katie: "That one is the Dutch Chocolate, and Peanut Butter."
Translation: Gold Rush has dutch cocoa, peanuts, and butterscotch. Dutch Chocolate and Peanut Butter are two of our other fudge flavors.

Other exciting happenings in the Harry household:

1. I got stuck at the end of our driveway today! It's about three feet of sand, and I decided that based on past experiences it would work better if I just goosed it. So I goosed it. I almost made it, but then my tires started spinning really badly so I eased off the gas and sunk about six inches. The boss of the road job came over and asked "How I was doing??" When I very kindly pointed out the obvious (that I was stuck!), he said "Oh. Yeah, I noticed that." But he and one of the other guys came and pushed me out. But when I got home tonight, they had made a path of dirt, leading into our driveway. They're fairly nice guys.

2. I went to Craig's Cruisers for the first time today!!! Rachel and I went together. It was really fun. We played the minature golf, and rode the go-cart thingies. When we first started golfing, there was a guy with his grandson in front of us, and after watching us at the first two holes, he very jokingly asked us if we were professionals (I stink at golf, and Rachel isn't too much better than I am!). When I told him that it was only my second time to golf, he decided that I wasn't so bad. He did give us a few pointers on how to stand, and how hard to hit the ball and all. We had fun though, and that's what counts!

3. After Craig's Cruisers, we stopped by Walmart to pick up a few items. We had checked out, and were trying to make our way through the maze, when I saw this little girl standing in candy area looking guilty, while opening a pack of gum. I paused and was trying to decide if I should tell her mom, who was in the process of checking out. I decided to just give the kid The Look instead. It works every time! She looked up, saw me Looking at her, dropped the pack of gum, and raced over to her mother. I figured she was less likely to get into trouble standing next to her mother, and under the cashiers nose, so I didn't say anything to her mother.

4. The dog is in the "Depths of Despair". I haven't really missed Andrew too much yet, but whenever I look at Ginger, I'm reminded that he's gone. Maybe she wants to sleep in my room tonight. It's gotta be really hard on animals when their owners leave them, because they really don't know if they're coming back. For all Ginger knows, Andrew could be dead! Poor dog!

5. I'm ready for bed! Goodnight!

Aww, it is quite sad when you leave you pets behind, they mourn too! I remember our cats did one of two things when we returned from vacation every year - either snub us and not come near us for days or never leave our side, haha. Gambate kudasai, Ginger! (keep your chin up!)

Did those nice young road workers ask for your phone number?

Jen, Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri, and Sat. See you soon =).

Uncle Phil! Of course not! Let's see... The boss is about forty-ish, and the other guy is probably in his late fifties. And in case you've forgotten... I'm only 18! Well... almost 19, but that's beside the point!

wow, you have an eventful life. Which did I mention you won't have anymore if you live with my parents??? Yeah...they just hate doing anything and will keep you locked in your room forever pretty much. :) Oh wait that's right! Mom finally agreed that the closet with my stuff doesn't have to be empty yet! *takes deep breath* So I can stop telling you "stories" now...I think it will be ok now that mom's closet has to get cleaned out instead!!!! :)

Ahhh....KIDS! You pour your life into them and for what?????? This is what I get!!!

Anna, your observation of Ginger's depression has come at a very poor time. We leave Thursday for a 6-day vacation and the dogs will be staying home. I hope I can enjoy myself even though I am now aware that poor ol' Hershey and little Lana will be pining away wondering if we're dead!

Actually, they really seemed to like Kristy, the girl who will be keeping Aunt Martha company and caring for our critters. They'll probably pine more for her when she leaves!

Stories?? You mean there really aren't bats living in that closet??

Terry, terribly sorry to disturb your peace of mind. If you're only gone for a few days, it probably won't be too hard on them. Ginger is doing better though. She "talked" to Andrew on the phone when he called Sunday =).

Oh dear! Did Sarah tell you about the bats??? It's not too bad, Anna. We only let them out once a week! :o)

Honey, I think it's time you updated your blog. And by the way, we are dedicating this weekend to get your room all clean and set up for you. Hope you keep it looking as nice as we'll make it!! :) Did mom mention the weekly room inspections we will be having? Oh wait that's right! I'm ok with it now...ok so there really aren't any inspections. :)

Oh dear, Anna... I check this blog every so often, and... nothin'. *sigh* How's the world supposed to know what you're up to?
